Obituary of Vincent J Marsi

Marsi, Vincent "Vince" J. Sr., age 96 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on April 3, 2015. Born in Hoboken, he lived in Totowa since 1959. He was an Air Conditioning Mechanic for Bendix Corp., Teterboro, for 23 years before retiring in 1982. Mr. Marsi was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was a WW II Army veteran serving in the European Theater. He was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. He grew up 2 blocks from Frank Sinatra and learned how to sing, which eventually led to him singing on the radio. He loved his garden and he enjoyed cooking, especially his pasta. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Beloved husband of 65 years to the former Josephine Mucedola of Totowa. Loving father of Robert Marsi of Vernon, Vincent Marsi, Jr. of Totowa, Joann Pavero & her husband, David of New Providence, Donna Collins & her husband, David of Basking Ridge, and Janet Filko & her husband, Rudy of Wayne. Devoted grandfather of Thomas and Lindsey Pavero, Ryan and Steven Filko and Christopher Collins. Vince is preceded in death by his siblings, Nettie, Marge, Anna, Frank, John, Sam, Anthony, Joe and Carmen. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
