Sister Lillian, you were one of the first religious people I met in my teenage years when I first arrived here from my native Italy. What accepting, welcoming, sharing spirit of brotherhood/humanity you have been projecting since then in all the few times that I have seen you, including this past January, I can now say in my seventies, oh wow! Each meeting has always been a humbling, more humanizing experience for me, in which your ‘Sisterly’ confidences blended into a kind of ‘sisterly’ confidences, where the spirit and the human are one, and forever raised the level of the interactive dialogue. You remain in my heart as one positive, transformative experience that has contributed to mold me into a better person.
Goodbye until we meet again, you beautiful soul! Salvatore Alderuccio

I have known Sr. Lillian since 2003. She was a great inspiration to all around her. She was one of the kindness people I have ever know. I remember her needlepoint and how she kept telling me she was going to teach me. It was really too sudden but God needed an angel with him.

To the Verilli Family:
I remember very well Sister Lillian having been in day care during the years of low 60's. She was a strong leader and had qualities of which I valued and respected very much. My personality in helping people (even today) has been shaped through her values and presence in my life. As I grew older I would always say hello when I saw her and reminded her of how she made a difference in my life. I am sad to see her go. On behalf of my entire family, we extend our most deepest sympathies and condolences. I will miss her very much...... Our thoughts and prayers are with her in this time of great need......From the Family of Joseph Murone, Lead Security Officer at the St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey.
