Evelyn was a dear servant of God. My Mother, who went to be wtih the Lord last week thought so fondly of her as we all did.
Evelyn made each person who visited her feel very special, because she always asked about their families, and the next time you visited her she would ask about them by name. She remembered what you had told her.
As I look through the letters she sent us for our birthdays, I see the acrostics and Bible verses or passages she included that was meant to encourage our hearts, and it did. She was highliy intelligent, but she was uncomfortable talking about that; she only wanted to talk about the Lord and His goodness.
My life is made richer because of her Godly influence, and although I will miss her, I am rejoicing to know she is with Her Saviour, with 20/20 vision and hearing heavens beautiful music of prasie to the Saviour.
Until we see you again Evelyn.
