Grochowski, Jean M. (nee Grish) age 80 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on May 29, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John F. Grochowski, (1998). Beloved sister of Rosemary Prater of Totowa. Loving aunt of Dina Marie Diaz of Totowa and David Prater of Totowa. Dear great aunt of Jordan Diaz of Totowa. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Mrs. Grochowski was pre deceased by three brothers and three sisters. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1974. She was an Employee for Package Craft, Garfield for twelve years before retiring in 1974. She was also a Candy Striper at St. Josephs Hospital and St. Anthony's Guild, both in Paterson. Mrs. Grochowski was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson and a member, Past President and Senior Tour Director for St. Gerard Seniors. She was also a member of St. Gerard Rosary Altar Society, a Eucharistic Minister and she worked the yearly carnival as well as bingo there. Mrs. Grochowski was a faithful supporter of the Sisters of Charity, the Disabled Veterans and St. Josephs India School. She was also a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis as well as a 3 time Rectoria of the Passaic County Carsillo Movement. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4-8 PM.
