De Simone, Assunta (nee Garofalo) of West Caldwell at rest in Livingston on April 20, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Gerardo De Simone. Mother of Alphonse De Simone, Nilde Smecca, Aurora Di Gangi, Josephine Ramundo and Marisa De Simone. Sister of Emilia Rascionato. Grandmother of 9 and Great Grandmother of 10. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Marys R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:15 AM. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. OBITUARY
Assunta (nee Garofalo) De Simone age 88 of West Caldwell died Tuesday. Born in Montella, Prov. di Avellino, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1956 and resided in Paterson from 1956 to 1983 before moving to West Caldwell. She was a Seamstress for H&D Sportswear Co., West Paterson, N.J. before retiring in 1983. Mrs. De Simone was a parishioner of St. Marys R.C. Church, Paterson. She was also a member of the I.L.G.W.U.
