Messineo, Florence J. (nee Scarmazzo) of Totowa at rest in Wayne on March 6, 2004. Beloved mother of Thomas Messineo, Dennis Messineo and Karen Slezak. Sister of Helen Dubiel, Eleanor Dodd and the late Elizabeth Curcio, Margaret Florio, Yolanda Fuentes, Anthony Scarmazzo, Charles Scarmazzo, Nicholas Scarmazzo, James Skip Scarmazzo, Emil Scarmazzo, and Ernest Scarmazzo. Grandmother of Michael Messineo, Kimberly Slezak, and Kyle Messineo. Born in Paterson, NJ she lived in Paterson until 1957 before moving to Totowa. She was a Saleswoman for Woolworths Department Store, Wayne, NJ for 10 years before retiring in 1983. She also worked for Lofts Candy Store, Paterson. Mrs. Messineo was a parishioner of St. James RC Church, Totowa. Preceeding her in death was: 3 sisters: Elizabeth Curcio, Margaret Florio, and Yolanda Fuentes, 6 brothers: Anthony Scarmazzo, Charles Scarmazzo, Nicholas Scarmazzo, James Skip Scarmazzo, Emil Scarmazzo, and Ernest Scarmazzo Survivors include: 2 sons: Thomas Messineo of Totowa, NJ Dennis Messineo of Cedar Grove, NJ A daughter: Karen Slezak of Montville, NJ 2 sisters: Helen Dubiel of Totowa, NJ Eleanor Dodd of Totowa, NJ Also survived by 3 grandchildren.
