Gigantes, Athena (nee Sklivas) of Paterson at rest in Wayne on January 6, 2004. Beloved wife of the late John Gigantes (a former partner of Libbys Lunch, Paterson). Mother of Nicholas D. Gigantes and his wife, Phyllis, Peter Gigantes and Denise Stolarz and her husband Les. Grandmother of Jacqueline C., Jennifer A., Nicholas J.P. and James A.J. Gigantes. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral service to follow at St. Athanasios G.O. Church, Paramus at 10:00 AM. Interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Trisagion service will be Friday 8:00 PM. Born in Romirion, Zakinthos, Greece, she came to the United States in 1955 residing in Paterson. She was a Seamstress for Sportempo, Inc., Paterson, NJ for several years before retiring in 1963. Mrs. Gigantes was a member of St. Athanasios G.O. Church, Paramus, NJ. Preceeding her in death was her husband: John Gigantes (a former Partner of Libbys Lunch, Paterson) Survivors include: 2 sons: Nicholas D. Gigantes of Wayne, NJ, Peter Gigantes of Paterson, NJ A daughter: Denise Stolarz of Boonton, NJ Also survived by 4 grandchildren.
