Obituary of Rosina K. “Rose� Ballone

Ballone, Rosina Rose (nee Zazella) of Paterson at rest in Paterson on April 1, 2003. Devoted wife of the late Joseph V. Ballone. Beloved Mother of Valerie Rado and Eugene and his wife Janet Ballone. Grandmother of Christopher John Rado. Cherished aunt of Kathleen Good, Roberta Nagelhout, and Maureen Kennedy and loving nieces and nephews and her guardian angel Mary Onofrio. Rose is the last survivor of the original 8 member Zazella Family of Danforth Avenue in Paterson. Her 3 brothers Fred Zazella, Louis Zazella, Frank Zazella, who was a longtime Paterson Police Officer and her 4 sisters, Norma Giordino, Lee Kelly, Inez Russo, and Helen Wright all predeceased her. Mrs. Ballone was a lifelong resident of Paterson, having been born and raised in this City. After the death of her husband Joseph V. Ballone in 1970 she worked in the Merit Company in downtown Paterson for many years retiring in her early eighties. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate her life at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Boulevard, Totowa, on Friday 9:00-10:00 AM. A private family service will follow. Cremation is private at Cedar Lawn Crematory, Paterson. In lieu of flowers donations to the Make A Wish Foundation in her name would be appreciated. Born in Paterson, Mrs. Ballone was a lifelong resident of Paterson, having been born and raised in this city. After the death of her husband Joseph V. Ballone in 1970 she was an inspector of award ribbons for the military for the Merit Company, Paterson, NJ for many years before retiring in her early eighties. She was predecased by her husband the late JosephV. Ballone in 1970 and by 3 brothers Fred, Louis, and Frank Zazella and by 4 sisters Norma Giordino, Lee Kelly, Inez Russo, and Helen Wright. Survivors include: one daughter: Valerie Rado of Wood Ridge, NJ one son: Eugene Ballone and his wife Janet Ballone of Stanhope, NJ Also survived by one grandson and several nieces and nephews.
