La Rosa, Angelo of Oakland formerly of Paterson on February 24, 2003. Beloved husband of the late Anna (nee Del Cuore). Father of Jo Anne La Rosa Child. Grandfather of Christine Fontanazza and Laura Cruz. Great grandfather of Andrew and Jessica Cruz. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Boulevard, Totowa, on Thursday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. OBITUARY Angelo La Rosa age 94 of Oakland died Monday. Born in Pueblo, Colorado, he lived in Paterson all of his life before moving to Oakland last year. He was a Foreman for the Silk Mills in Paterson, NJ. After that, he was a carpenter for the A&P Co. Paterson. He was also self employed as a gardener before retiring. Mr. La Rosa was a decorated WW II Veteran. He was a Master Sgt in the US Army serving in the European Theater. He fought in the Battle of the Buldge and received the Bronze Star and the Combat Infantry Badge. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cedar Grove. He is predeceased by his wife: Anna (nee Del Cuore) La Rosa Survivors include: One daughter: Jo Anne La Rosa Child of Haledon, NJ Also survived by 2 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren. Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Boulevard, Totowa is in charge of arrangements.
