It has been my pleasure to know Andy for over 10 years. You wonder what someone is like when you first meet them, and as time goes by layers of that person unfold.
I have many fond memories of Andy. One in particular strikes me. I called the shop one evening to leave a message. I sang, "Andy, Andy Dillon, Head of the Estimating Department" to the tune of "Davy Crockett." The next morning Andy was saying what he had to put up with. To prove it, he played back the message tape while a couple of the guys were around. That incident still makes me laugh!
Andy was encouraging to me especially. If I goofed up, he would say, "Don't worry about it. Don't lose sleep over it. I'll take care of it."
Thank you for sharing him. I will sorely miss him.
