Zavala, Hortencia (nee Chatter) of Pompton Lakes at rest in Pompton Lakes on October 6, 2004. Devoted wife of Cesar Zavala. Mother of Hilda Gonzalez, Graciela Balta, Ana Cadena, Luz Zavala, Hortencia Vidal and the late Jesus Elias Gonzales Chatter. Sister of Celia Chatter, Leonor Bueno and Godofredo Barco. Grandmother of 11 grandchildren and the late Ricardo Vidal. Also survived by 2 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on at Saturday at 8:30 A.M. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Johns Cathedral, Paterson at 9:00 A.M. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. OBITUARY
Hortencia (nee Chatter) Zavala age 86 of Pompton Lakes died Wednesday. Born in Lima, Peru she came to the United States in 1978 and lived in Paterson before moving to Pompton Lakes in 1998. She was a Machine Operator for AMA Coat Co., Paterson, NJ before retiring.
Preceeding her in death was her son:
