Anania, Gloria V. of Woodland Park passed on into our Lord's hands in Paterson on April 17, 2013. Dear daughter of the late Jack and Rose (nee Ponzo) Anania. Loving sister of Ronald Anania of Davie, FL. and the late Peter Anania (1993). Loving fiancé of the late Anthony Pomante (2001). Beloved aunt of Roy Anania of South Hackensack. Dear sister in law of Marie Anania of South Hackensack. Loving aunt of Michelle Kirkpatrick and Amy Bierly. Great aunt of Brandon, Bradley and Benjamin Kirkpatrick and Ava and Tommy Bierly. Also surviving are several cousins. Born and raised in Paterson, she was a graduate of Eastside High School and attended Paterson Commercial College while employed by the city of Paterson. After forty years with the city, she retired in 1993 as Administrative Secretary under the Department of Finance. She received citations for outstanding civic contributions from the City Council and the Mayor. Miss Anania was a parishoner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa, and a former parishioner of St. Aloysius R. C. Church, Jackson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Friends may call Sunday 4-8 PM.
