Scalzitti, Carmella "Millie" (nee Ricupero) age 88 of Paterson at rest in Haskell, Wanaque Twsp. on March 9, 2012. Beloved wife of fifty one years of the late Pasquale "Pat" J. Scalzitti. (1996). Loving Mother of Angela Pasquariello and her husband Frank, Patricia Scalzitti, Catherine Burns and her husband Michael, John Scalzitti and his wife Carol and William Scalzitti. Dear Grandmother of ten and Great Grandmother of ten. Dear sister of Della Elia and her husband Paul and the late Frances de Palma (2009) and Luciano Ricupero (1997). Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Born in Syracuse, Sicily, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1924 settling in Paterson. She was a Homemaker. Mrs. Scalzitti was a parishioner of St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson and a member of the Rosary Altar Society and the St. Gerard Senior Citizens Club. She was an avid painter and gardener and was very devoted to her family. Funeral services took place on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 for members of her family. Interment took place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Festa Memorial funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa was entrusted with the arrangements. Donations may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
