Bonsey, John H. age 87 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on September 1, 2011. Beloved husband of the former Jean M. Hartmann of Totowa. Loving Father of Linda J. Atkinson and her husband James of Totowa, and retired Lt. Robert Bonsey and his wife, Marion of Tampa, FL. Grandfather of Renee Polizzi, Lauren Harmel, Ryan Atkinson, David, Cheryl, and Brian Bonsey and Great grandfather of eight. Survivors include nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in Boston, MA he lived there before moving to Paterson sixty years ago. He was the owner/operator of Bonsey Construction, Paterson, for many years before retiring. Mr. Bonsey was a WW II Navy Veteran. He was an avid gardener, growing his own fruits and vegetables in his backyard and was known as Paterson's #1 Beekeeper. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
