Torres, Elizabeth "Betty" of Totowa, was called home by the Lord on March 6, 2013. Born in Johnstown, PA in 1939, the youngest of eleven children born to Andrew M. and Mary Trotz, Betty married Raymond Torres, Sr., her H.S. sweetheart also of Johnstown, PA and moved to New Jersey in 1961. She remained a NJ resident after her retirement from Passaic County Community College where she served for many years as Secretary to the President. Her warm smile, fighting spirit and gentle embrace are deeply missed by her loved ones. She leaves behind many cherished memories and her beloved husband Raymond of fifty-three years, two sisters, Evelyn Hannock of Twin Rocks, PA and Florence Shadoan of Sumter, South Carolina, four sons and three daughters-in-law: Raymond Jr. & Mary-Alice, Jeffrey, Kevin & Mary, and Craig & Jennifer Torres; and eight beloved grandchildren Diana, Julia, Justin, Brian, Samantha, Lauren, Jake and Ava. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday, March 11th at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James of the Marches R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. The family invites friends to pay their respects on Sunday, March 10th from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home.
