DiTaranto, Carolina (nee Simmarano) age 78 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on June 14, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Carmine DiTaranto (1997). Loving mother of Vincenzo DiTaranto and his fiancée Roseangela. Sister of the late Maria Nobile, Rosina Laterza, Angiolina Mazzoccoli, Angelo Simmarano, Carlo Simmarano and Giuseppe Simmarano. Sister-in law of Francesco Laterza, Maria Simmarano and Luiga Simmarano and the late Filippo Nobile, and Angelo Mazzoccoli. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Born in Montescaglioso, Prov. di Matera, Italy, she came to the United States in 1960 residing in Paterson. She was a seamstress for Lido Fashion, Paterson, before retiring. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may call Friday 2-4and 7-9 PM.
