Bleeker, John E. age 75 of Paterson at rest in New York, NY on June 13, 2011. Beloved husband of the former Lucille Santoloci. Loving Father of John G. Bleeker and his wife Lori of Franklin Lakes and Scott Bleeker and his wife Marie of Fairfield. Beloved Grandfather of Danielle, John C., Scott, Zachary, and Joshua Bleeker. Brother of Florence Cifaldi and Adele Casale and her husband Phil and the late Madeline Santo and her late husband Bob. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for his entire life. Mr. Bleeker served as the President of the Local Carpenters Union #124 (formerly Local # 325) as well as the President of the Passaic County District Council. He was the Superintendent of Construction for Minnema Builders, Hawthorne for many years before retiring in 1996. Mr. Bleeker was a former member of the National Guard and a current member of the American Legion Post # 708, Front St., Paterson. He was also an active reservist during the Korean War at which he became a Marksman, Marksman First Class, Pro-Marksman, and a Sharp-Shooter. He played basketball for Paterson Tech and was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
