Farrell, Floyd age 83 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on May 16, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Paterson and lived here all his life. He served in the Navy during WW II on the USS St. Paul. He worked as a Paterson Street Police Officer and Police Mechanic before working for Albert Scaletti Trucking Co. for 17 years with 9 years as shop stewart and then for the Teamsters Local 560 before retiring. He was a faithful member of the Bernard Armitage American Legion Post 360 serving as Vice Commander. He was predeceased by his father, Floyd Farrell Sr.; his mother, Ruth Frey, his brother Ralph Van Kleeck; and his son, Floyd Scott Farrell. He was the Beloved husband of Lillian (nee Sigismondi) for 45 years, Loving Uncle to Beverly and Jim Herold of Milford, PA, who were also his caregivers; Great Uncle to Sherri and Bill Szipocs of Milford, PA; Brother of Clay Farrell of Lincoln Park and Ethel Farrell of Paterson. He was also survived by many relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Pike County Humane Society (no kill shelter), PO Box 255, Milford, PA 18337 would be appreciated.
