Riccardo, Lillian A. "Grammy" (nee Denequolo) age 96 of Little Falls passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 6, 2011. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson most of her life before moving to Little Falls 11 years ago. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Riccardo was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church Totowa and a former member of its Rosary Altar Society. She was a wonderful cook most noted for her meatballs, eggplant parm, and Sunday dinners. Her focus was on her family and grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Peter J. Riccardo (1980). Loving Mother of Phyllis T. Battagliese & her husband, Joseph of Fairfield, Louise A. Pirone & her husband, William of Little Falls, Joseph P. Riccardo & his wife, Beatrice L. of Franklin Lakes, and Peter R. Riccardo & his wife, Lucille of Leonardo, Middletown Twsp. Sister of Louise DeStefano of Toms River and Minnie Petolino of Totowa. Also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and her father's wife, Lucia Denequolo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
