DeLisi, Rose (nee Festa) age 82 of Pompton Plains at rest in Wayne on February 12, 2011. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Victor Pollara, (1989). Beloved wife of Vito "Willy" DeLisi of Pompton Plains. Loving Mother of Leonard D. Pollara of Paterson and Lori Dowling and her husband Chris of Wayne. Dear Sister of James L. Festa of Weehawkin, Charles C. Festa, Jr. of Paterson, Robert P. Festa of Totowa, Peter Festa of Oakland, June Leonardi of Little Falls and the late Nicholas Festa and Ret. Col. Donald Festa. Grandmother of Caitlin and Brian Dowling and Jacqueline and Daniel Pollara. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, she lived in Little Falls for most of her life before moving to Pompton Plains. She was the Head Nurse in St. Joseph's Hospital Delivery Room for many years. After that, she was a nurse for Mountainside Hospital, Glen Ridge. She was then a School Nurse for School #2, Paterson for 20 years. She was a Graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing. Then she received her Bachelors of Arts Degree from Jersey City State College and her Masters Degree from Montclair State College. Mrs. DeLisi was a member of the NJ Education Association. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls and attended Mass at Cedar Crest Chapel. She was also a member of the Golden Age Senior Citizens Club, Little Falls. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls at 9:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
