Caputo, Carmela "Millie" (nee De Stefano) age 97 of Pompton Lakes at rest in Hospice of NJ at St. Joseph's, Wayne on December 28, 2010. Born in Sicily, Italy she came to the United States in 1916 residing in Paterson for most of her life before moving to Pompton Lakes 40 years ago. She was a Seamstress for I.L.G.W.U. and worked for various factories in Paterson before retiring. Mrs. Caputo was a parishioner of St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes and a member of it's senior citizen's club. She was the wife of the founder of the Wayne Mandolin Orchestra, the late Liborio "Leo" Caputo. Loving mother of Rosario Caputo & his wife, Patricia of Ct., Mary Ann Baglio of Pompton Lakes, Joanna Catanzaro De Prospero & her husband, Henry De Prospero of Fairfield. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may call Sunday 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
