Obituary of Michele Avolio

Avolio, Michele age 75 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on February 15, 2010. Beloved husband of the former Filomena Lepore. Loving Father of Angela Sagnella and her husband Alexander of Totowa and Michael Avolio of Paterson. Brother of Maria Cercone, Francesco Avolio, Mario Avolio, and Fernando Avolio of Canada. Loving Grandfather of Lauren Ann, Alex, Nicholas and Daniel Sagnella. Born in Pacentro, Prov. di L'Aquila, Italy, he came to the U.S.A. in 1956 settling in Paterson. He was a Custodian for the Paterson Board of Education, PS #27 for many years before retiring in 1997. Mr. Avolio was a parishioner of St. Michael's R.C. Church, Paterson. He was an avid gardener, and he enjoyed making wine. He appeared on American Bandstand in 1955. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Michael's R.C.
