Obituary of Tughman Joseph Tookmanian

Tookmanian, Tughman Joseph age 84 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on January 1, 2010. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Tookmanian was a Letter Carrier for the United States Post Office, working in Paterson, then Totowa before retiring. He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a lifetime member of the American Legion John Raad Post and a lifetime member of the US Submarine Veterans of WWII. Loving husband of the late Agnes (nee Makoujy) Tookmanian. Loving Father of Joseph Tookmanian & his wife, Carmen of Hawthorne, Gerard Tookmanian & his wife, Mary of Wayne, Norman Tookmanian & his wife, Marylee of Kinnelon, Gail Schwartz & her husband, Bob of Quincy, Mass, Bernadette Dolan & her husband, William of Paterson, and Patricia McNamara & her husband, Timothy of Rockaway. Loving Giddo of 21 grandchildren and loving great Giddo of 4 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Armen Tookmanian. Brother in law of Betty Tookmanian. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
