Obituary of Frank X. De Luccia Sr.

De Luccia, Frank X. Sr., age 95 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on December 31, 2009. Beloved husband of the late and former Raffaela "Lola" Gavasei (2004). Loving Father of Diane R. De Luccia of Hawthorne, CA, Frank X. De Luccia, Jr. and his wife Diane of Woodland Park, and Douglas N. De Luccia and his wife Jeanette of Woodland Park. Grandfather of Kimberly R. Tittle, Kirk R. and his wife Theresa, Frank X. De Luccia III and his wife Huong, Mark J., Michael A. and Raquel R. De Luccia. Great Grandfathr of Isabelle T. De Luccia, Blake D. Shulman and Jake Tittle. Brother in Law of Rosa Gavasei of Lodi. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he was a lifelong city resident. He was a Butcher for Shop Rite, Fair Lawn, for many years before retiring in 1984. He was a butcher for fifty years. Mr. De Luccia was a W.W. II Army Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater in charge of anti aircraft artillery in Okinawa. He was in Hawaii after Pearl Harbor and received the American Defense Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the Philippines Liberation Medal. Frank was a saxophone player. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
