Feger, Michael A. age 95 of Haledon at rest in Haledon on December 27, 2009. Beloved husband of the late and former Harriet Dockray (1984) and the late and former Rose Serino (2006). Loving Father of Roy J. Konray of Westfield. Grandfather of Kara Kraman of Eden Prairie, MN. Brother of John Feger of Riverdale. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Haledon for most of his life. He was a Textile Chemist for Fabian Textile Co., Inc., Lodi for many years before retiring in 1980. During W.W. II, Mr. Feger served in the U.S. Army under General Omar Bradley as a Combat Infantry Radio Communications Encoder/Decoder, 28th Division, 110th Regiment. He participated in the invasion at Normandy Beach, and other battles in France and Germany. Captured during the Battle of the Bulge in 1944, he received a POW medal, a Bronze Star, an EAME Ribbon with a Silver Star and a Marksman Badge. A former member of the Haledon Police Auxiliary, he was a past President of the Haledon-North Haledon Police Pistol Team and a member of its undefeated 1960 championship team in the Police Revolver League. He belonged to North Haledon VFW Post # 9782 and the Ex-POWS of Clifton. He was a member of the Totowa Seniors. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Saturday 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater N.J.
