Mattina, John C. age 82 of Totowa at rest in Glen Ridge on December 12, 2009. Beloved husband of the former Maria Cassenti of Totowa. Loving Father of Josephine Nargiso and her husband Ronald of Little Falls and Pauline Gebbia and her husband Sal of Franklin Lakes. Grandfather of John Nargiso, Elizabeth Mc Cauley and Jerry, Sal and Jaclyn Gebbia. Great Grandfather of Harley Gebbia. Brother of Paolina Facciaponte and Nicoletta Cassenti both of Sicily, Italy, and the late Carmelo Mattina. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in Greenville, PA., he returned to Sicily, Italy before coming back to the U.S.A. in 1947 settling in Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1962. He was an Employee for D&S Processing Co., Inc., Clifton, for many years before retiring in 1992. Mr. Mattina was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. For more information, go to www.festamemorial.com.
