Forbes, Frank R. age 84 of Woodland Park at rest in Wayne on December 6, 2009. Born in Mayfield, PA, son of Frank and Olive (nee Pritchard) Forbes, resident of West Paterson since 1953. A graduate of St. Rose High School, Carbondale, PA and of Seton Hall University, NJ. Served as a WW II Navy Corpsman attached to the 3rd Marine Division in the Pacific Theatre. He received the following commendations: WW II Victory Medal, American Campaign, Asiatic-Pacific 2 Stars, recommended for Good Conduct Medal. He was a Sales Manager for Syntex Pharmaceuticals. He was also a coach in the West Paterson Little League, a Cub Master of Pack 39 at St. Bonaventure's where he received the Bronze Pelican Award in 1962. A member of St. James Knights of Columbus where he was recognized as Knight of the Month for February 2004, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10104 in Totowa. He served as a long-time usher at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Jane (nee Lonsdorf) Forbes of 53 years and son Frank R. Forbes III. Survived by three daughters, Colleen Malone of Crystal Lake, IL, Eileen Immersi of Dover, and Jane Scholz and her husband Michael of Nutley; also two sons, Brian of Sparta, and Richard of Oak Ridge; also by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Also survived by his loving companion of many years, Maria Domaleczna. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C.
