Celentano, Thomas G. "Gaetano" age 86 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on November 22, 2009. Beloved husband of the former Dolores Nauta of Wayne. Preceding him in death was his first wife Lena (nee Di Santo). Loving Father of Darlene Nauta and her husband Patrick of Wayne. Linda Lee Dominguez of Port St. Lucie, FL, Thomas Celentano, Jr. and his wife Susan of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Jerry Celentano of Lake Hopatcong. Brother of Annie Di Santo of N.C., Mary Sabo of N.C., Jerry Celentano of Paterson, Frank Celentano of Rivervale, Joe Celentano of Lodi and John Celentano of Ocean County. He also leaves behind his beloved pet Chocolate Labrador, Brittany. Born in Newark, he lived in Newark, then Paterson and Haledon, before moving to Wayne thirteen years ago. He was an owner/operator for D & D Trucking, Wayne and for many years before retiring in 1991. Prior to that, he was a cheese-maker for the family business, Celentano Foods. Mr. Celentano was a WW II Army Veteran serving in the Europena Theater. He received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, and the WW II Victory Medal. He was an avid Yankee fan, and an all around sports enthusiast that also loved to garden. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church, Wayne at 9:30 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
