Obituary of Augie G. Matarazzo

Matarazzo, Augie G. age 65 of Lincoln Park at rest in Livingston on October 20, 2009. Beloved husband of the former Lucille P. Capizzi of Lincoln Park. Father of August M. Matarazzo of Lincoln Park and John F. Matarazzo of Groton, CT. Grandfather of August A. Matarazzo. Brother of Carmen R. Matarazzo of Ringwood and Gaetano J. Matarazzo, Sr. of Little Egg Harbor. Also surviving are three nieces, a nephew, six great nieces, four great nephews and his beloved pet Labrador Retriever, Mac. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson before moving to Lincoln Park forty five years ago. He was a Butcher for Pathmark, West Paterson for many years before retiring in 2003. He was currently the owner/proprietor of Augie's Tavern, Paterson. Mr. Matarazzo was a member of the Meat Cutters Union Local 464, Little Falls. He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed casinos and traveling to Florida. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Michael's R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Our Lady of Victories R.C.
