Dunn, Kenneth E. age 85 of Totowa at rest in Wayne on June 29, 2009. Beloved husband of Christina (nee Higgins) Dunn of Totowa. Loving Father of Sharon Hancock of Paterson, Kenneth Leo Dunn of Totowa, Jack Kennedy of Palm City, FL, Christine Saitta of Hawthorne, David Dunn of Hawthorne, Christina Johnson of Newton and the late Kathleen Cosentino. Father-in-law of Gloria Dunn, Claudia Kennedy, Mark Johnson, Frank Vigorita and Louis Cosentino. Grandfather of Colleen and Brian Goellner, Neal P. Hancock, Kelly Henneberry, John Thomas Kennedy, Kelsey Kennedy, Olivia Dunn, Zachary Dunn, Ethan Dunn, Amanda Cosentino, Molly Dunn, Joseph Johnson and Alicia Johnson. Brother of Allen Dunn of Toms River. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Newark, he lived most of his life in Totowa. He was an Electrician for RCA, Harrison for 30 years. After that, he worked for Norwalt, Whippany for 10 years before retiring 20 years ago. He was a WW II Army Veteran. He entered in September of 1943 serving in the infantry. He received the Bronze Star, the citation reads in part, "S/Sgt. Dunn in the face of deadly machine gun fire and rifle fire, lead his squad against German Strong point at West Germany." He was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. He was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
