Obituary of Matthew M. Krautheim

Krautheim, Matthew M. age 81 of Bloomfield, formerly of Paterson at rest in Bloomfield on March 23, 2009. Beloved husband of the late and former Mary Stringer. Father of Mary Clare Kinder and her husband Richard of Bloomfield, Matthew Krautheim of Bloomfield and Mark Krautheim and his wife Joe-Nan of Germany. Grandfather of Brad and Kyle Kinder and Erica, Andrew and Allyson Krautheim and the late Christopher Krautheim. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Bloomfield in 2006. He was a Production Engineer for Bendix Corp., Teterboro for thirty seven years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Krautheim was a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran and received the Victory Medal, and the American Theater Medal. He enjoyed canvas painting and he was an all-around handyman. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
