Severino, Paul age 87 of Totowa at rest in Cedar Grove on January 31, 2009. Beloved husband of the late and former Catherine Coiro. Father of Karen Yannarelli and her husband Albert of Totowa and Paul J. Severino and his wife Kathleen of Concord, Mass. Grandfather of Lee`Ellen Sturtz, Andrea Gayman, Cassandra Severino, Carlo Yannarelli and Albert Yannarelli Jr. Great Grandfather of Evan Sturtz, Chloe Sturtz, Ryan Gayman, Ava Gayman and Paul Yannarelli. Brother of the late Peter and Fred Severino and the late Rose Di Risio, Jennie Velluta and Jeanette D'Antonio. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and in laws. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson before moving to Totowa in 1957. He was a Tool & Dye Maker for Associated Diamond Co., Paterson, for many years before retiring in 1982. Mr. Severino was a WWII Army Veteran serving with the 12th Armored Division "Hell Cats" Company B, 134th Ordinance Maintenance Battallion from 1942 - 1946 as Staff Sergeant. He was the recipient of the American Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. He was a founding member of the V.F.W. Post #10104, Totowa. He was also the Grand Marshall of the Totowa Memorial Day Parade in 2007. Mr. Severino was a parishioner of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson. He was also an avid Golfer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
