Olivola, Joseph J. age 83 of Little Falls at rest in Passaic on January 14, 2009. Born in Orange, he lived in Garfield for 35 years before moving to Little Falls 8 years ago. He was a Physical Education Teacher for the Diocese of Paterson working at St. John's School, Paterson, Our Lady of the Valley School, Orange, Pope Pius XII School, Passaic, and Pope Paul VI High School, Clifton. He was also the Athletic Director for Pope Pius XII & Pope Paul VI and coached Boys and Girls Basketball for Pope Pius XII and Pope Paul VI. He was a volunteer Girls Basketball Coach at Clifton High School for the past 15 years. He was a parishioner and usher at Holy Angels R.C. Church, Little Falls, a former parishioner of Most Holy Name R.C. Church, Garfield and was a devout Catholic. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Messina) Olivola. Loving Father of Jim Olivola and his wife Gail of Rutherford, John Olivola and his wife Sally of Everett, Wa., Mark Olivola and his wife Linda of Hillsborough, and Rich Olivola and his wife Sandie of Little Falls. Brother of Betty Cillo of Florida. Also survived by 8 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Holy Angels RC Church, Little Falls at 10:30 AM. Interment at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. Friends may call Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
