My favorite memories of Josephine are going back 20-25 years ago - before I was married. My mom, Josephine, and I would go out on a Friday night to a restaurant called Laurels in Totowa by the Holiday Inn on Rt 46. We would have something to eat and listen to the band for awhile. When we got back to Jo's house we would all play Yhatzee or scrabble. Sometimes on a Saturday night we would order something, have it delivered, and play cards till 10 pm. Once I got married our visits were few but I remember trying to reach my mom by phone and getting a busy signal. Then I would call Jo and there would be a busy signal...the 2 of them could talk up a storm for hours. I would look forward to Easter and Christmas because I would call Jo and ask her what she wanted me to bake. My son enjoyed going to bring something to Jo and visiting when he could... he called her "his grandma in a wheelchair". She will be missed by so many people. I will never forget her and remember all she has done for me, and all the laughs we had.
