Chief Madama was one of the giants of the fire service of New Jersey for many decades. Personally I remember him from many events such as parades and wetdowns in the 1970's and 1980's.
For as long as he was able, he would routinely attend the meetings of the North Jersey Volunteer Firemen's Association, therefore as the NJVFA secretary may I extend our condolences and sympathies to Chief Madama's family but also let us celebrate such a great life and his countless contributions to make our world safer.
