Obituary of Ernest J. Messina

Messina, Ernest J., Sr. age 88 of Wayne formerly of Paterson at rest in Wayne on August 18, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Lillian (nee DiRosa) Messina. Loving Father of Ernest J. Messina, Jr. of Wayne. Brother of Albert Messina of South Jersey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Sicily, he came to the United States in 1928 residing most of his life in Paterson before moving to Wayne. He was a Machine Operator for National Rubber, Clifton and also for Royal and Sons, Paterson for many years before retiring. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church, Paterson and a member of its Mens Club. He was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa and the Wayne Elks Lodge, Wayne. He was also a WWII Army Veteran. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa on Thursday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Anthony's R.C.
