We are going to miss you so much Uncle Joe. You were such a special person in our lives. The kids just adored you and you were so wonderful with them. It saddens me that Abby won't have much memory of you, if any. Sara and Brandon were so lucky to have such a giving, loving Uncle Jofis..
We will always treasure the Christmas holidays and your pasta dinners. We will miss the "coffee and a fire" nights with you and playing poker up at your house.
May you rest peacfully with your brothers and mom and dad.
Please watch over all the little "Kosch" kids and know that we all LOVE YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Debs,
Not sure where to begin, I want to say that I’m really sorry for your lost. Your dad did more things with me then my own father. He taught me about stock car racing and ice hockey. I remember Uncle Mickey and Dad taking us to my first professional hockey game out on the Island. I taught him how to wash dishes, clothes and how to clean the house, not so sure that he grasped the full concept of cleaning but he tried. Curtains were a real challenge maybe that is why he only did it once or twice. The best was trying to teach us to drive.
I hope you remember all the good times we share together, like when he was sad we tried to cheer him up by dressing him up like DEVO with the bowls on his head. Then like a rocker with the wig and the guitar no one would believe us but we have the pictures to prove those days. Singing funny old country and western songs, or when you and Billy would play the drums so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think. Our food shopping events every Thursday night at Two Guys, filling up the cart only for him to take the stuff out while we turned the corner, “I’m not Rockefeller. Returning home eating a week’s supply of groceries in one night, and picking out all the good nuts leaving him only the peanuts. How we sat Watching TV with him, shows like Monty Python Flying Circus, Starkey and Hutch, and all the really bad horror movies that gave me night mares, not to mention all the hockey games. How I used to call him to help me repair something or how he helped me paint my room. Do you remember he would leave you money for lunch we would get Hershey ice pops and eat them sitting on top of pool table in the basement, or what about the Digels and Boonsfarm apple wine? Or how we sat outside on the front porch watching the cars go by with all the neighbors, he and I would be smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee while talking about nonsense. I love Christmas Eve at your house when Grandpa, Murph, Uncle Mickey and the rest of your family would come over for dinner, it was always special times. These are just a few of the wonderful memories of our childhood and ones that I will cherish and I hope that you will too. Just remember that I love you like a sister and that I will always be here for you. I guess I just wanted you to know that dad would have wanted you to look back and remember all the good times versus the last few painful months. Love you

I just heard through Walter that Uncle Joe has passed away. I have fond memories of "Joe". He enjoyed going to the races, his garden, the NY Mets and hanging with the family. I still see his smile and can hear his laughter. The memory that stays clear in my mind is when I made dinner for him and how he loved my roasted potatoes. Something so simple that made him so happy. My regrets to the Kosch family. I'm sorry that I can't pay my respects in person. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
