Jaclyn Tuohey posted a condolence
I have known him just about eight years, but a lifetime in my soul. He welcomed me into the family as his granddaughter with open arms. So many happy times; from basketball games to Old Fashions and swap games (to only name a few). He will be missed so much from all his family and friends. He loved everyone that's here, a man of patience and kindness, I know we won't forget. It's hard to say goodbye, to a person I knew so great. Now that he has flown to up above I know that he will be happy with the fulfillment of Gods love. We let him go in any way that we can, but please know that he will always be in our hearts and greatly missed, because he is a very special man!
With love, Your Granddaughter Jaclyn

Dearest Uncle Richie,
You were the uncle of all uncles, more of an uncle to me than my own uncles. I shall never forget how you welcomed me into your family and made me feel as if I had been there forever.
We will always cherish the family dinners we had together at the beach - lots of laughter and love. When we sit down to the big table at the beach we hope you will look down on us fondly. (We'll make sure we have your favorite scotch on hand too just in case you need a wee drink!)
We will always love you.
