Sabbath, Yvonne "Eva" (nee White) passed away peacefully at age 93 on February 25, 2008 at home in Paterson. She was born in New London, Connecticut, daughter of Mary and Albert White. While still in her infancy the family relocated to Paterson where she attended local schools, worked in the silk industry and subsequently retired from Kaysam Corporation, Paterson. Following her retirement she became an active member of the South Paterson Senior Center for more than 25 years where she served in various capacities and received a number of honors for her volunteer work at the center. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church for more than 40 years during her active days where she served in various capacities including the Rosary Society and Parish Council. She was predeceased by her husband Emil after 46 years of marriage, sister, Bertha Pecora, and brother, Louis White. She is survived by sisters, Helen, Pearl and Janet White, and her brothers, James and Nosary White of Clifton. Her surviving children are her daughter, Nina Love and her husband George of Haddonfield and her son, the Hon. George E. Sabbath, Superior Court Judge of the State of NJ, and his wife Terry of Pequannock. She was a loving grandmother of five grandchildren, Evamarie Arnold and her husband Scott of Pompton Plains, Joseph Sabbath and his wife Laurie of Pequannock, Meghan Kelton and her husband Robert of Reddington, Mary Karns and her husband Charles of Haddon Heights and James Love and his wife Valerie of Collingswood. She was a great-grandmother to Brendan and Brian Arnold, Samantha and Joseph Sabbath, Allison and Jessica Kelton and Elizabeth and Katherine Karns, who were the joy of her last years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C. Church, Pompton Plains at 11:00 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may call Thursday 3-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Our Lady of Good Counsel R.C.
