Cusick, Marjorie Edna (nee Sullivan) has quietly and joyously united with our Lord and her family in heaven on December 1, 2012. She and her beloved husband, David F., celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary on November 30th. Born in Boonton, on November 24, 1924, she is the daughter of the late Marjorie (Yeomans) Kohler and Joseph Howard Sullivan. Margie graduated from Passaic Valley Regional High School in 1942. She entered the Paterson General Hospital School of Nursing and did her Army Cadet Training at Fort Dix, graduating in 1946. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Newark State College in 1974. Marjorie resided in Totowa from 1951 through 1988, moving to Satellite Beach, Florida, before returning to North Jersey in 2005 to reside at Cedar Crest, Pompton Plains. Marge was a homemaker as well as working at North Jersey Training School and as School Nurse for Memorial School, Totowa for almost 20 years before retiring. Margie enjoyed reading, going to the beach and was active with her children as a Cub Scout leader, treasurer of her daughter's Brownie troop, and an Assistant Girl Scout leader. She was also a past president of St. Monica's Guild in Christ Episcopal Church, Totowa. In addition to her husband David, she is survived by daughters, Wendy Cusick (Thomas H. Zabriskie) and Lois Buonforte (Louis) and son David H. Cusick (Lesley T.); grandchildren Anne Tocco (Brandon), Thomas H. Zabriskie, Jr. (fiancée Erica Cote), Monica and Marlo Bounforte and Mary Kleinfeldt (Billy) She has three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Ullrich and her husband Henry and her brother Frederick Kohler and his wife Betty, as well as 6 nieces and 5 nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother Donald Sullivan, sister-in-law Kay Sullivan and niece Jane Ullrich Tummino. Family and friends are welcome to call at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on December 3, 2012. All are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 9:15 AM with a celebration of Margie's life to follow at 10:00 AM at Christ Episcopal Church, 329 Totowa Road and Grant Avenue, Totowa. Contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or Breast Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
